Once a facility has been chosen and a date set for admission, events begin to unfold quickly.  Few facilities offer families an orientation session to prepare you for the experiences during and after admission.  I explain to families what to expect during the admission process.  Families are informed how to prepare themselves for the many issues during the transition period and what questions they need to ask the facility.​​
